Terrible, HORRIBLE day. L is not napping well and it’s making me afraid that he’ll never nap again. We did get out to go to Grandma’s. Riley did well with L.

Rougher day than yesterday. L has started arching his back while on the floor to try to move around. He can wiggle a little ways on both his back and stomach.

No good naps today. Seems to be the story of our lives. Got out and went to a La Leche meeting. Was nice to get out. Macey ran away and I was EXTREMELY upset. Grandma and Jen and E came to rescue us. Jen tried to take L for me and he got v. upset. I guess he does know who I am.

11 WEEKS OLD
Had a pretty good day, but naps are all jacked up. Grandma came to visit and we also went to Mommy and Me - 14 lbs., 3.5 oz. L listened to AJ on the phone. He got VERY excited when he heard AJ’s voice.

Ran a few errands, but had a crappy nap day again. L has been clasping his hands together and trying to get both of them in his mouth. He’s funny.

L took great naps today. We were lazy and stayed in jammies all day. We did get out for a walk in the morning and again in the afternoon with Grandma and Riley. AJ is in Beijing.

Went to breakfast for Grandparent’s Day with three of the four Gparents. It was another rough day. I think I must have eaten something at Treads and Threads to upset L. But, it’s better than it has been.

We ran errands and had lunch with Ade and Jack. It was a rough nap day. L doesn’t sleep in the car seat anymore.
Stayed with Grammy so that AJ and I could go to Treads and Threads. He didn’t want to go to sleep and had to sleep in his swing.

Nine Weeks
Some of L’s 0-3 month clothes are getting too small.

Had a GREAT day and took WONDERFUL naps. Took him to Mommy and Me. 12 lb., 15 oz.
He is smiling all the time. AJ likes to blow on his face to make him smile.

Two Months Old
Had lunch at Grandma’s for Great Grandma’s birthday. Neal and Ang came for dinner.

AJ kept L so that I could go to a baby shower. We got out in the evening and went to Old Chicago for dinner with Joe, Angela, Addie, Sierra and Sharon.

Took a nap without the swaddle blanket. AJ had to keep him so that I could go get my nose fixed. Tried not feeding him again and he cried less than last night.

Blowing bubbles. Wore a 3-6 month outfit. I tried not feeding L during the night last night and it didn’t go so well. I won’t post the amount of time he cried.

Eight Weeks Old
Auntie Jen Visit
Went to Twister’s for Murphy’s birthday - after AJ watched L and gave him a bottle so I could go get my hair done and my nose pierced.

Had a 6.5 hour cycle last night. That was a LOT of sleep for me!
Napped pretty well and we actually had an outing to Roma Coffee.

Seven Weeks Old
Had a difficult day today. L didn’t take very good naps. I blame the shots. We drove around to get him to sleep. AJ drove the route he was going to take for the scooter ride.

Had our first shots at L’s six week appt. with Dr. S. And, he SMILED for the first time - before the shots. Weighed 12 lb., 1.7oz. 22 1/4 in. Head: 15 5/8 in. He’s in about the 50th percentile.

Gave L a bath in the kitchen sink. He seems to be enjoying it more now.
When he was eating, L coughed and farted at the same time. AJ thought it was hilarious.

Grammy and Shari and Chris and Lora came to visit. Grandma kept L again so that we could go to the reunion dinner.

First night with a sitter: we went to AJ’s class reunion. It was really hard to leave L at home. I thought about him the entire night.

Managed to get out and go shopping for next summer with Jeanne and AJ. And, AJ, L and I went to dinner at J’s for our anniversary. L was fussy in the evening because I ate a salad.

Grandma came to the house to keep L while AJ and I watched a movie downstairs. I did not enjoy the movie. I just wanted to be with L. But, we had to do it to prepare for AJ’s class reunion

Three Weeks Old

I tried to get AJ to let me switch him to formula. None of us are happy. Ade and Jack came to visit us because I was in mental breakdown mode. After much discussion, she suggested that I quit eating all dairy, citrus fruits, tomato products, green, leafy veggies, anything spicy and any gas causing foods. I called the Dr. and they said the same thing. I have to do this until L is four months old if I want to keep nursing. And, I get to give L gas medicine before every feeding. I want to quit.

Two Weeks Old
Grammy Pat came for a visit. L keeps waking himself with his hands. He hits himself and then cries. Poor kiddo.

L eats about 40 minutes about 8 times a day…that’s more than 5 hours and it wears me out.

Travis and Rachel came to visit. L and I had our first outing alone. We went to Target and Walmart. I never thought I’d be so thrilled to go to the grocery store.

I got 9 hours of sleep…granted, they weren’t continuous.

We got into our room around 3 a.m. after I tried to nurse L and AJ went along for the bath. My epidural was still in full effect and I couldn’t walk or get around by myself. AJ changed the first diaper and Liam peed all over him, his bed and the wall. As tired as we were, we had to laugh.

Grammy Pat, Heather, Grandma Jeanne and Jenni were in the delivery room with A and me. Elias, Grandpa Larry and Grandpa Greg waited. Neal and Ang came to the hospital to visit and stayed until Liam’s arrival.
