Happy Mummy’s Day
Aaron took Liam on the bus today because L loves the bus.
The grand plan was that they’d ride to the end of the line and back, which they did, but with Liam being a pain in the ass the whole time.
Not at all what A expected.
Unfortunately, A didn’t pack enough food to take along and L got hungry. When that kid gets hungry, he is a monster.
I got a call around 1, with Aaron pleading me to make lunch for the child so that it would be ready when they got back. I did, and was rewarded with a card to “Mum” with happy birthday crossed out. Since the UK mother’s day is in March, the pickin’s were slim. And, evidently Aaron was going to take Liam to the mall with him to get a gift, but in the situation at hand, he decided that getting the kid home for food and a nap was more important.
I agree 100%.
We spent some time trying to get the house picked up, as we tend to do on Sundays, and tried to get the kids to bed early because I was so tired and just wanted to go to bed - not because they necessarily needed to go to bed early. Elena didn’t fight 7.30, but L was not pleased about his 8.30 lights out. (Um, maybe because he wasn’t tired??) He kept me up until 10. (Of course he did since I was in bed at 8.45.)
When he does stuff like that, it makes me want to yell and scream when he’s trying to go to sleep just to see how he likes it. I’d totally do it, but I’m sure he’d just laugh at me…or cry and tell me that I hurt his feelings. Then I’d have to comfort him and shit. I don’t want to listen to a laughing child when he’s pissing me off…much less a crying one! I suppose I’d better do the adult thing and keep it in check.
On the pissed off note, it’s the first day that the house has been hot enough I’ve wished for a fan. I SO don’t like to be hot. I can create a puddle of sweat sitting in a cold water bath.
I should be a tester for Secret deodorant. I bet I’d kick it’s ass. I totally sweat like a man.
