Grandma’s Visit: Day 1

Aaron stuck around today so that he could pick up his mom from the airport. She got here around 1.30 and when she arrived, Liam was on the toilet trying to take the worst poo of his life.

He tried for about 20 minutes and cried because it was too hard and was going to “break my bones.”

I felt terrible for him, but he gave up and sat on my lap for awhile before he’d even say hello to grandma.

He finally came around and managed to be civil, but we didn’t see any movement, so to speak. The poor kid is miserable and went to bed miserable.

I finally called my resident poop expert, Jenny. She gave me all the goods and I immediately tromped up the stairs to make Liam suck down an entire glass of watered down apple juice. He was thrilled.

I was fully prepared for him to wake up during the night, but he sucked it up and slept through it.

Elena was quite pleased to see Grandma. I was too. I actually got a few things done while she messed around with the kiddos. Here’s to the rest of her stay….

If you get to the medicating point, MIralax all the way! R has been on it for 6 months now, and is a totally different kid. I wish our dr. would have told us about it sooner. He gets 5 ou. of his special Crystal Light every day and is a regular kiddo now.
