Second First Day of School

L went to school this morning and had a fantastic time. I didn’t have my camera, so I couldn’t take a picture. But I assure you, he was SO big walking into his classroom.

He tells us that he made friends with a girl named Liam whose hair is just a little darker than his. Last time we were there he warmed right up to the Asian kid. Hmmm…wonder why. There aren’t very many in his class, so I hope that he has an easy time making friends. He’s such a sweet kid.

So, he had a wonderful morning and mine was extremely productive. E and I even took a walk. I paid bills…went through mail…found all of the instructions for appliances, thermostat, air conditioner, etc., for the renters. I did laundry. I did dishes. I made a grocery list. These are things that are difficult to do when there are two of them running around.

It’s unfortunate that you don’t realize this until there are two.

But, having had a pretty quiet morning, I was excited to see him when we walked to get him.

Oh, don’t worry…in the hour we were home he made certain that I was ready for him to take a nap.

The rest of the day went pretty well. I worked on getting new pictures put in frames so that we have some of Elena to put up, and this evening A and I watched Knocked Up after the kids went to bed. Hilarious.

I wonder how long it will take for relaxing to feel normal.

Tell us more about his school and how you chose it.

It was the most convenient location for us and they seemed to abuse the children slightly less than the other places we looked at. We’ll see if his bruises match our expectations. Regardless, the walk can’t be beat so I guess he’ll just have to suffer if we pegged it wrong.

I said the same thing to Brian last night…I haven’t sat still without thinking about the next thing I’m supposed to do for at least 3-4 months. Ridiculous.

And Aaron, You are terrible. I thought you chose it because they gave him a sedative right before sending him home.

Been keeping track of what’s going on via your blog. Tell Liam grampa had to fix the Peterson # 1 pump this week. Miss talking to you, but this will do. DAD
