Oil wells, and engines, and cell towers…oh my!
Well, Liam’s dream came true this evening. My dad took him out to see oil wells. We got some good video of it, but I’m having problems getting it to upload to YouTube. Maybe tomorrow.
Otherwise, I took the kids to the library and we went out to lunch with Mom at Applebee’s. It was kind of a disaster. L went a little haywire. I’ve never seen him act as crazy in a restaurant as he did today. He was standing up in the booth, looking over at the people behind us, making annoying, loud noises for no reason whatsoever, and jumping in the booth.
I finally took him out and put him in the car. We could see it from where we were sitting, so I went back and got E and had Mom wait inside for a bit. Then I told L that Grammy likes to be around kids who listen and follow directions, and that if he couldn’t get it together that we would just have to let Gram stay and have some quiet time.
That got his attention. He calmed down and I called to tell her to the coast was clear. I LOVE that she plays along with me. Dad is doing it now, too. It’s pretty funny to see L jump to whatever he’s supposed to be doing when no one else is going to bail him out.
And really, that’s about it. I did a few “work” related things, but nothing is done. Each of the things I’m working on is missing something: the 529 applications need checks, the dog microchip registrations need pictures, and the Rebel XT needs to be well packed before I ship it off to find out why the autofocus isn’t working.
I hate when I don’t get to mark anything off of my list.
One thing I DID get to do today was wake up in bed by myself. L slept in Grammy and Grandpa’s room last night on the floor in a sleeping bag. I slept much better and it would have been perfect, but E was up in the night three times. Must be teeth.
Finally, I got the pics from our photo shoot on Wednesday with Heather’s kids. They are adorable, but I can’t find the CD to post any of the images. Maybe tomorrow for that too.
Ok, I’m tired. Just wanted to post because I was starting to get antsy about not keeping up.
