Elena Six Months
I can’t believe she’s this old already. She’s right on track for her growth curve.

It was a perfect appointment aside from the fact that E had to get shots. She’s doing all of the things she should be:
- sitting with guidance so she doesn’t fall sideways

- laughing
- taking an interest in books
- suffering from stranger anxiety - it’s really not good when I leave the room
- babbling like a maniac - she’s much more vocal than L was
- adoring herself in the mirror
- rolling front to back (Jan. 15) and back to front (Feb. 1) - it’s taken her a while because she hadn’t been spending that much time on the floor.
Unfortunately, she’s still not fond of solids.

We’ve been trying for two months on and off and I suppose I’ll just keep testing it out. She’ll eat eventually.
In addition to the “supposed tos,” she does so many other things that are defining her personality.
- She’s such a sweet little girl. I look at her when I’m nursing her before I go to bed and she is so peaceful. She rubs her hand across my chest when she’s nursing. She’s so deliberate about it.
- She sucks her bottom lip.
- She sucks her thumb - although she hasn’t yet figured out that she can do it when she wants to suck for comfort.
- She loves to play with Liam’s toys. She’s not interested in “baby” stuff. She’d rather play with cars.
- She kicks her feet in excitement and irritation.
It’s also been interesting because people consistently call her a boy - even in a pink car seat cover. Does she look like a boy?
It’s really ok if she does. I looked like a boy for a long time.

I eventually grew out of it, I think.
It’s been pretty damn cute though…the “brothers” are getting to be good friends.

But who wouldn’t love her with this hair?
