Snow Day

School was canceled this morning when we got up because the roads were crappy, and AJ decided to work from home. It was quite a scam considering that we didn’t get nearly the amount of ice they predicted. (Most of the schools canceled last night.)

But I was glad someone around here got to take advantage of it.

The only difference I noticed was that KM was canceled, so we were housebound. I’m sure it was just another day for E, and if L realized anything was amiss, it didn’t stop him from his usual routine of screaming.

It did, however, help significantly with his house training. He ran around nekkid from the waist down most of the day and went on his potty chair three times on his own. He was quite proud of himself and walked around saying, “He has to go poddy on his poddy.”

He was also very affectionate toward E. This has happened over the last week or so. I guess he’s figured out that she’s not going back, so he’s making the best of it.

This morning he climbed up next to her and covered them both up so that they’d could “get cozy.”

Then he helped her in the jumper by bouncing her (gently, actually) and swinging her. (I put a stop to that.)

(Doesn’t he look awesome without pants in those super long socks?)

And I did cringe as he sat down bare bottom in the Bumbo, but he was having such a great time and he wasn’t screaming, so I let him.

E was in a happy mood.

and she was quite chatty as well: Elena.wav

I took a break when L took a nap and mixed up sugar cookies to bake in the near future.

Anyway, this is the amount of snow we had before we went to bed. Doesn’t look like much, but it’s supposed to continue to come down overnight. Thry’re saying 5-8 inches.IMG_3259.jpg

Most of the schools have already canceled for tomorrow, so we probably won’t get any more and the districts will all be kicking themselves.

We’ll see.

You know when he starts running around in his Thomas or Bob the Builder tighty-whities, it will be one of the CUTEST things ever. I still laugh when I see my little guy do that…

The kids are so adoreable and growing so fast!

I’m glad he’s warming up to her. I dig the pic. of them gettin’ cozy and the one of E. on your lap.
