Life (In London), Medicated

No one was harmed in the making of this post.

Well, I did it.

I managed to pack up both kids (Jeanne kept the dogs, thank god.) and a bunch of their crap for the three-hour drive to visit my parents.

And it wasn’t that difficult!

Thinking back on my first trip with L all by myself I remember thinking that maybe it was too early for me to do it alone.  I was scared he wouldn’t sleep…I shouldn’t have worried, he didn’t anyway.

Well look at me now, peeps.

I can haul two kids for three hours, keep the toddler occupied with music, snacks and discussion about oil wells, windmills, and silos, AND get him into a bed (without any jail rails) an hour after we arrived to take a nap…with no arguments.
I’m not saying that I’ve got this two kids thing down, but I’m a hell of a lot better off with two five weeks out than I was with one.

Maybe at some point I’ll have time to construct a post that DOESN’T involve TMI about my day.

We can all hope.

Hooray! Good for you. I remember my first trip alone with my kids, and it didn’t go nearly as well as yours.
