Last night we were included in a family dinner at the Sharma household. I think it was to honor Neal’s mom, but I’m not quite sure that I understand why. Whatever, there was a lot of foot touching, which is a sign of respect, and a ton of delicious homemade Indian food. Oh, and pizza. They always have pizza.
It was a great opportunity to meet all of the people involved in the wedding and to get reacquainted with some whom I’ve met previously.
Liam also enjoyed the party immensely. Since everyone had to remove their shoes upon entering the house, there was quite a pile. At one point, he turned and realized this. All Aaron could say was that he was the happiest he’d ever seen him. I’d say the look was pure glee. He headed over to partake in the newly discovered bounty. I don’t think AJ had to pry the shoes out of his clenched hands or mouth this time, so that was nice.
I got to watch Ang get dressed in her saree and I still have no idea how to do it. It’s a damn good thing that some of the women are going to be on hand to dress us on Friday.
We headed out around 9. I heard that the poker game following the event went until the wee hours of the morning. Good for them. I was home, in bed, asleep by 10.
