Jules and Jen came over to play and we took the kiddos to My Gym for an ice cream social. L loved it. He stayed with AJ while I went out with the girls.

Meg, upon hearing my washing routine for the cloth diapers.

Information On Breasts - Chicken Or Otherwise - Belongs In the Cookbook Cupboard

I have been looking for a book that my sis let me borrow before Liam was born. I found it today. I opened up my cookbook cupboard to put something away and there it was.

It’s titled “So That’s What They’re For. Breastfeeding Basics.”

In a way, I can rationalize why I put it there, but it certainly didn’t seem to logical at a later date.

No. 2 Pencils and Such

I just got back from Wal-Mart. While I was there, I took a stroll down the school supplies aisle. I had a difficult time not buying anything. I found myself trying to justify a new notebook - college rule, of course.

I have great memories of shopping for school supplies as a kid. I enjoyed it more than back-to-school clothes shopping. And I still have a penchant for glue, pens and paper. There’s just something about a spiral bound notebook with clean pages to fill.

Mmmmmm…paper.

Poker Party

Aaron had peeps over the other night to play poker. Instead of joining in the reindeer games, Jamie and I played with the kids like good moms. We were trying to make a good impression on all of the summer associates who were involved in the poker game. You know, good housewives and mothers, etc.

We put the kids to bed and proceeded to eat a lot of cookies. They were delish! Then we watched as people trickled out when they lost and were out of the game. So much for being a good housewife - I didn’t even get up to let them out. Jamie and I just sat in the family room and watched them leave.

I also drank a lot of cream soda. It wasn’t until the following day after a night of terrible sleep and completely weird black leather RiverDance-type dreams that I realized this:

Who knew cream soda was caffeinated?
